Load Analysis

Designing a renewable energy system without knowing the total load the system is expected to power, very seldom produces a well balanced system.
Bottom line, Design the system to match the loads & days of reserve!

For off-grid systems Sandhills Solar & Wind uses the “Direct Meter Monitoring” method of determining daily watts-hour usage a system will be required to produce. Our trained technicians begin by placing watt meters in the circuits to be powered, for up to 7 days, therefore we get a very good average of the watts used on a daily basis.

If your desire is a Grid-Tie system, a look at your past 12 month’s electric bills will assist in determining your average watt-hour usage.

If you desire to estimate your own watt-hours usage, please download the “LOAD ESTIMATER” program, in Excel format, enter the information required, and email the completed sheet back to sales@sandhills-solar.com. Don’t forget to enter your contact information!
